Securing planning permissions to enhance the facilities of a Surrey school situated in the Green Belt.
A Surrey school located in Green Belt land needed several different planning permissions for enhancements to buildings and playing fields. We secured permissions for the school, including an all-weather pitch and a new science block with staff accommodation. Detailed and lengthy negotiations with the local planning authority were required to achieve this success. An application for floodlighting was refused, but on appeal we successfully made the case that the proposals were essential for the school, resulting in the appeal being allowed.
